In 2009, I created the sound design and music for Roxana Vilk's Gulbenkian Foundation and LX Films Portugal commission of Red Burqa as part of their "distance/promimty" series. Each filmmaker was asked to make a film about an object used in everyday life that has an interesting history. Roxana decided to make a film about the Red Burqa which is worn in Southern Iran.
