In January 2016 I had the honour to be invited by Paul Griffiths from The Guildhall School of Music and Drama to co-deliver the Greater Harmony Training Project co-designed with Eugene Skeef, at the Beit Al Musica School in Palestine/Israel over 5 days based in Haifa.
Paul and I collaborated on delivering a highly focused 3 day intensive training for music practitioners, musicians and music therapists who are active in their communities and seeking to freshen up their skills with new songs, rhythms and ways of working together to create music. It was a deeply rewarding experience.
The practitioners then went into their local schools to deliver music making projects with the purpose of engaging Israeli & Palestinian children in harmonious music creation through songs, rhythms, storytelling and improvisation.
